Vijaya Kiladri is a sacred hill located in Sitanagaram, Guntur District, Andhra Pradesh, situated on the banks of the Krishna River. It holds significant spiritual and historical importance, particularly within the lineage of the Jeeyar Swamijis.
Arjuna’s Penance: According to tradition, this is the hill where Arjuna (also known as Vijaya) performed penance to obtain boons for the Mahabharata war. The name “Vijaya Kiladri” commemorates his victory.
Vastu & Location: The hill is surrounded by the Krishna River on three sides. According to Vastu science, having a water body to the north brings immense prosperity, drawing comparisons to the sacred geography of Tirumala and Sri Rangam.
The Appearance of Hanuman: Before the modern temples were built, a stone-made crown was discovered protruding from the earth. Further excavation revealed a beautiful idol of Lord Hanuman, who is now considered the Kshetra Palaka (protector) of the hill.
